Welcome welcome to my little slice of the internet. (Apparently they let just anyone have one of these here blog things.) It all started 9 years ago when my brother said, “Hey Abi, you should blog.” I laughed incredulously and a year later started blogging.
I love to write and my posts here give me an awesome opportunity to get out what happens to be on my mind at any given moment. I write about things that are important to me. I write about who I am. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s serious. It often involves food of some kind and music. I also talk about relationships in general and the most important Relationship there is.
I live in Connecticut. It happened 10 years ago when my sister got married and moved here then said I should move here too. I laughed incredulously and a year later I moved here.
2 years ago I launched into the wild adventure of being a full-time, self-employed musician. When I was in high school my grandma told me to practice my lessons hard because someday I could be a music teacher. I laughed incredulously. Now I’m scratching out a living teaching piano and guitar… and desperately wishing I practiced more as a child.
I love Jesus, coffee, my nephews and nieces, cooking, and writing about it all. I love that there is purpose in everything that happens and everything we do. I don’t like raisins, mindless tradition or being boxed and labeled.
I have an odd sense of humor and apparently God has an odd sense of humor too. It’s one of the things I like about Him.
Now all I need is someone to suggest I marry an incredibly wealthy man so I can laugh and it can happen…that’s how it works right? … Right? …
So, check out my blog and leave me a comment or two. It makes me happy. Maybe it will make you happy too, you never know!
